Day 1

You are on your way to the Queen City, Cincinnati. Upon arrival, visit the Cincinnati History Museum plus a dinner cruise on the Ohio River. Overnight in the Cincinnati, OH area.

Day 2

Start you day with a stop at Schimpff’s Confectionery, one of the oldest, continuously operated, family-owned candy businesses in the U.S. and a visit to the Howard Steamboat Museum, where you will step back in time to the Great Steamboat Era. Submerge yourself in all things Derby at the Kentucky Derby Museum. Overnight in Louisville, KY.

Day 3

Travel to Kentucky Horse Country and visit the Old Friends Horse Farm, a non-profit organization that provides a dignified retirement for Thoroughbred racehorses. Take a tour and tasting at Equus Run Vineyard and then visit Evans Orchard & Cider Mill. Stay two nights in Georgetown, KY

Day 4

Spend the day in Lexington, KY. Visit the Kentucky Horse Park, a world-renowned equine-themed attraction and working horse farm. Explore museums, exhibits, and live demonstrations showcasing the history, care, and training of horses. Tour Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate and then visit The Aviation Museum of Kentucky, which showcasing the rich aviation heritage of the state and nation.

Day 5

Travel home today with a stop at Schmidt’s Sausage Has and Restaurant in Columbus, OH before returning to Pittsburgh.

Cancellation Policy: Prior to 45 days - No Charge; 44 days or less - NO REFUND

 

Written notice of cancellation is required before monies refunded.

            8:00 am - Wheeling

 

Walking Code: 3 - This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs or on uneven walking surfaces should be expected.

 

Insurance: Travel insurance is optional. To be eligible for the waiver of pre-existing medical condition exclusion, the protection plan must be purchased within 21 days from the time you make your initial deposit and for the prepaid non-refundable payments or deposits. If purchased, the insurance premium is refundable during the 21-day review period, unless you have filed a claim or departed on your trip.
