Day 1
A rustic adventure will be in store for you as you depart for Wellsboro, PA. Arrive at the PA Grand Canyon Overlook for a photo opportunity. Enjoy a horse-drawn covered wagon tour through the beautiful Pine Creek Gorge, also know as the PA Grand Canyon in Tioga County. The PA Grand Canyon stretches approximately 47 miles and is surrounded by 165,000 acres of Tioga State Forest. The tour guides are fluent in the history of the Canyon going back to the 19th century. They will tell the tale while the horses wind their way on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Overnight in Wellsboro, PA.

Enjoy a stop at the Thomas T. Taber Museum. The museum chronicles the history of north central Pennsylvania, from American Indian occupation through 21st century industry and life. Exhibits include an American Indian gallery, a Fine and Decorative Arts gallery, the Shempp Model Train exhibit with over 300 toy trains, period rooms depicting life from the 1700s through the 1900s, and much more.
After lunch, you will be charmed by a cruise aboard the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat, a 150 passenger replica of the vessel which graced the Susquehanna waterways during the 1800’s. Cruise along the tree-lined shores of the Susquehanna River.
