Travel to Millersburg, Ohio where you will meet your guide for the day! Your guide has been raised in this area and will be sharing a lot about the Amish and Mennonite culture. There will be as many backroads tours as possible.
You will arrive at Warther’s Museum for a guided tour and to view the woodcarvings of steam engines created by Mooney Warther. They are priceless works of Art! View Mrs. Warther’s button collection featuring over 70,000 buttons that are arranged in art work. There will be time to visit the knife sales area and the gift shop where the family creates the finest kitchen cutlery in the world! After your guided tour and shopping, enjoy lunch in their banquet room.
Next enjoy the guided tour at the Age of Steam Roundhouse. You will be able to get up close to these huge locomotives!! (There will be release forms for everyone to fill out before entering Age of Steam).
The last stop of the day will be Walnut Creek Cheese, the largest bulk food store in the area. This is a great place to buy spices in bulk, fresh meats, cheese, and visit the in-house bakery that specializes in cinnamon rolls. The Amish love to shop here for all their grocery needs! What a great day!
