Day 1
Travel to Millersburg, OH where you will meet your guide and see the largest Amish family owned bakery—Hershberger Bakery & Farmers Market. Walk out to the petting zoo where you get to pet Big King (the largest registered Belgium horse in Ohio). You will enjoy shopping at the farm store where they have locally made items. Everyone will enjoy a pastry from here.
Troyer’s Sweet Shoppe has been in business since 1960! They offer all kinds of chocolate nut clusters to truffles and fudge. Their crunchy butter puffs are a favorite too! They also have cookies that they sell. Everyone will get to make 6 buckeyes to take home!
Enjoy Amish cooking at its best for a full buffet lunch at Farmstead Restaurant!
You will go to Walnut Creek Market Place where there are a lot of locals selling their wares! There will be anything from food to crafts! There are over 100 booths all under the same roof, with climate controlled and wheelchair accessible. There are plenty of places to site and relax! You will find a new winery and brewery in front of the Market. Have fun with the scavenger hunt!
Walnut Creek Cheese is the largest bulk food store in the area. This is a great place to buy spices in bulk fresh meats, cheese and an in-house bakery that specializes in cinnamon rolls. There is an ice cream conde included for everyone.
The final stop of the day will be at Breitenbach Winery. They make their own wines and have won many awards! You may buy samples on your own.
Depart for home with many Sweets and Treats!
