Day 1
Travel to Akron, Ohio where you will meet your guide for the day at Portage Princess Cruises. Enjoy a two hour narrated scenic tour on Portage Lakes. Captain Jude is enthusiastic about sharing the history of the beauty of the Portage Lakes with group! Comprised of nine main lakes and two reservoirs, the community’s story begins with the native American Indians who called this area home. Today, the area is home to many who couldn’t imagine life without the waters in their backyards.
Enjoy a family style lunch at La Pizzeria Restaurant, who are famous for delicious authentic Italian food.
In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour of the Canton Classic Car Museum, which was established in 1978. The museum currently has more than 40 rare, unusual classic and special interest automobiles. The gorgeous vehicles are complemented by thousands of pieces of historical memorabilia displayed throughout the museum.
